Making and sharing shortbread is an age-old Christmas tradition in Scotland so why not bring it to life with a Walker’s 125 cocktail - inspired by the mighty ‘Old Fashioned’, but with a modern twist.

Not a big whisky fan? Fear not, this cocktail will convince you otherwise! Created in partnership with The Scotsman Group, it’s a true Scottish dream for anyone looking for a special dram to impress friends and family this winter.

The Walker’s 125 Old Fashioned incorporates vegan Liquid Oats Vanilla and Honey Liqueur to create a well-balanced cocktail with sweet creamy notes of honeysuckle and a long-lasting finish of toffee notes, finished with a satisfying Walker’s shortbread crunch.

 

Ingredients

2 Walker’s Shortbread Fingers

37.5ml Glenlivet Founders Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky

37.5ml Liquid Oats Sweet Vanilla and Honey

Honey or sugar syrup

Method

Crush one Walker’s Shortbread Finger and set aside.

Coat the rim of your chosen glass (a lowball or rocks glass will work) in honey or sugar syrup.  

Dip your glass into the crushed Shortbread Finger crumbs to decorate the rim.  

Carefully pour the measures of The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve and Liquid Oats Sweet Vanilla and Honey Liqueur into your glass and stir down for 20-30 seconds or until smooth on the palate.

Serve with the remaining Walker’s Shortbread Finger and enjoy!
