How do I book to attend a recruitment day?

What happens during the recruitment day?

You will be greeted by our friendly recruitment team, watch some short videos showing you what our factory environment is like and a bit about our Company history and values. You will then have a 1-1 interview where we will go through questions regarding your application. The last part of the session will include a worksheet and a practical exercise which will require you to work as part of a team and communicate just like in our factory.

What happens if I can’t attend a recruitment day but still want to apply for a seasonal factory operative position?

You can apply though our online application or you can pick up a paper application at either our Aberlour or Elgin factory receptions. Once we receive your application we will contact you, this will be done through email, text or phone so please ensure your contact information is correct and up-to-date.

When we contact you, we may ask you a few questions over the phone regarding your application, but we will invite you to a 1-1 interview with one of our recruitment team.

The interview will last roughly 30 minutes and we hold interviews at either Aberlour or Elgin sites on a regular basis. The interview will include a short worksheet and a practical exercise to give you an insight into what the job may involve.

What should I do to prepare for a Recruitment Day or Interview?

You will need to bring a form of identification, we accept it in the form of a UK birth certificate along with NI evidence or an in-date passport or ID card. We will also take your photo and shoe size and the dress code is smart casual. If you want more information on our recruitment process, please check out our FAQs section.

Who will I meet at a Recruitment Day or Interview?

You will probably meet one of our Recruitment and Training Advisors, Amy or Louise, who will take you through every step of the recruitment process.

What happens if I am successful?

Prior to starting work with us you will be invited to attend a training session that we call an induction. This is usually carried out the week before you are due to start work and includes meeting with our Human Resources, Health & Safety and Occupational Health teams as part of our on-boarding process. It also includes completing all paperwork associated with starting a new job.

What will happen on my first day?

Please arrive 15 minutes before your start time and go to the area you were shown at induction, you will meet your trainer who will issue your shoes, clock card and show you where your locker and facilities are. Once you are ready to go into the factory, your trainer will show you where you will be working and what is expected, but you will be placed with experienced employees to help you get up to speed. Our experienced training team will then work with you to complete tasks to our work instruction standards.

Everyone starts on 6 week trial basis.
